Avraham Meshulam was my friend, we grew up together and in high school we went to Tel Aviv Museum of Art afternoon art classes. He died in the failed attempt to recapture the Hermon Mountain outpost during the 1973 Yom Kippur war. I just recently found out that he was decorated with the Medal of Courage, IDF's second highest citation. On this memorial day, the thoughts are always coming back to, was it worth it? What is the meaning of a life gone so quickly. The questions are coming back, but it seems that we find less and less answers.
